Kenan & Faseeh by Kiducate

Privacy Policy

Kenan & Faseeh is made for children aged 3 to 8, and is built so that a child's information stays on the family's own device. This page explains exactly what that means.

Effective date

This Privacy Policy applies to the Kenan & Faseeh app for iOS and to related Kiducate web pages. Last updated: October 2, 2026.

What this app is

Kenan & Faseeh (كنان وفصيح) is an app by Kiducate that teaches Modern Standard Arabic to children aged 3 to 8 through games, letter films and stories. It is made for children, and it is built so that a child's information stays on the family's own device.

The short version

  • No accounts, no sign-in, no email address.
  • No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing shared with data brokers or advertisers.
  • Your children's profiles and progress stay on your device.
  • Voice recordings in the “repeat after Faseeh” games are never saved or sent.
  • Subscriptions are sold by Apple. We use RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active; it never receives your child's information.
  • If the app crashes, an anonymous crash report helps us fix it.

Information stored on your device

To let several children play on one device, the app keeps, for each child:

  • a first name, if you choose to add one (optional), an age, boy or girl, and a picture chosen from the app's own drawings;
  • their progress: games played, stars, coins, trophies and the items they bought for Faseeh in the game.

This information is kept only in the app's private storage on your device. It is not sent to Kiducate or to anyone else. Like other app data, it may be included in your device's own backups (iCloud or your computer), which are under your Apple Account and your control.

The microphone

Some games ask the child to repeat a word after Faseeh. If you allow the microphone, the app records a few seconds so your child can hear their own voice played back. The recording is kept in memory only while it plays and is then discarded: it is never saved, never sent anywhere, and never listened to by anyone. The app asks for permission first, and you can turn microphone access off at any time in the iPhone or iPad Settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

Kenan & Faseeh is free to try, with a subscription to open everything. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store; Kiducate never sees your payment details.

To know whether a subscription is active on your device, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), a subscription service. RevenueCat receives the App Store's record of the purchase — which plan, when it started and renews, the store country — and a random identifier that RevenueCat creates for the app on your device. It does not receive your name, your email, or anything about your children, and we have turned off its collection of device identifiers and its diagnostics. RevenueCat's own privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Purchases, the subscription screen and links that leave the app are behind a parents' gate that children cannot pass.

Crash reports

If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a crash report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), which we use to find and fix problems. The report says what went wrong in the app's code, with the app version, the device model and the iOS version.

It contains no name, no profile, no progress, no screenshots, and no advertising or device identifiers. Like any internet service, Sentry receives the IP address your device connects from, and records an approximate location (country, and sometimes city) derived from it; that is not linked to a child's profile or to anything else in the app. Reports are stored in Sentry's EU region (Germany). Sentry's privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy.

Children's privacy

Kenan & Faseeh is in the App Store's Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, we do not show advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking. The only data that leaves the device is the purchase record described above and anonymous crash reports. This is consistent with the App Store's Kids category rules, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Deleting your data

  • To remove one child: open the parents' area (the pencil on the “who is playing” screen), answer the parents' question, open the child's tab and choose Delete.
  • To remove everything: delete the app. All profiles and progress are removed from the device.
  • RevenueCat's record: to ask for it to be deleted, write to support@kiducate.eu. Your purchase history with Apple is kept by Apple.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app works differently — for example, if it downloads lessons after purchase — we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top.
